Welcome!
All the layouts posted in this "gallery" blog will be made from Doxie Designs kits, either by me, or any members of my "team" that I happen to have.
If you want to see a particular kits layouts, just click on the name of the kit in the Catagory list, and it will show you all that have been posted in our gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by!
This is a quick layout showing our new furniture!! Our Doxie's were enjoying the comfort of it, as well as my DH. This was our first NEW couch and recliner....all the rest were used when we got them. They are so soft and comfy, I think I'll want to buy new from now on! *giggle* My older chair is comfy, but that couch is better....I may spend a little more time on it, than I ever did the old one....especially if I want to stretch out across it (although it is a extra wide double recliner, but comfy the other way too)!

Deb's lovely new kit has so many elements in it, that remind me of my Grandma Kay. Grandma Kay, was my Grandpa Mike's second wife, and she was a very wonderful, caring lady. She was the only Grandma I ever really knew, she passed away in July 2006. I will always miss her. She always used to write me letters and send pictures. She loved God, gardening and liked pretty handkerchiefs. I will always remember her tea cup collection and the fruit trees in her yard. This picture was taken the last time Grandma Kay came to visit, when Raquel was about 6 months olds.

This is a friend of mine, that I had when I was growing up. She was a neighbor that I would go visit sometimes and we would have a chat over a cup of tea.

Journaling:
When I was growing up I enjoyed
walking down the road to our
neighbors house and having a chat.
Every time I went she would serve tea
and cookies, and although I never have
been fond of hot tea, or Oreo cookies
I enjoyed the time spent with her, over
that hot cup of tea, and those hard
Oreo cookies. We would talk about
what I was doing, or learning in School,
and she would tell me what her family
was up to. She has been gone for
several years now, but I still think about
that wonderful friend I had and the
memories we made over the
tea cups. May 1993
This is my Great Great Grandparents.

Also done in QP's 8.5X11 & 12X12.

My best friend just shared some pictures of her family, and I had to scrap them for her, as she's not a scrapper due to time constraints. When ever she shares her pictures with me I scrap them for her, I tell her it's her gift for being such a great friend.
For the 1st layout I used Deb's
Stories of Yesteryear Kit it's such a pretty kit, I love the elements and papers.
For the 2nd layout I used Deb's Blooming Delight (which is on sale till Jan 5th), and Blooming Delight Add-on. The tag is from Deb's Bailey kit, and has been recoloured to match the layout.
Truly wonderful kits to work with.

I see Deb is having a sale and I just happened to have been working on this LO. Raquel has been wanting a LO with just her, after seeing the last one of Ayden. Her favorite color is purple, this kit, Blooming Delight, seemed to be the perfect choice. I colorized some of the butterflies. The LO is called "1st Day of Grade 3". Raquel likes it, (I also used her favorite font), and that is what is important.

Deb's kits are lovely, so go and check out the store while the sale is still on. Hoping everyone has a healthy, happy, prosperous New Year!
I used Doxie Design's beautiful kit, Mother's Pansies on this LO. Violets Are Blue, is of Ayden playing with a violet at the end of May this year. I just love her chubby little hands and had to include those pictures too. I dried the violet and saved it for her, then I turned it into a tube. I just love tiny little violets. They always remind me of spring and they smell so wonderful. The journaling reads:
Ayden's favorite place is outside Almost everyday we take a walk. She loves the pretty flowers. I picked this violet for her and she played with it for quite a while. After, we put it in a book & dried it. It is inside the trinket box. We never saw another violet that spring, maybe it was the last one of the year May 29/07
The quote reads as follows:The smell of violets, hidden in the green,
Pour'd back into my empty soul and frame
The times when I remembered to have been
Joyful and free from blame.
- Lord Alfred Tennyson
Dream of Fair Women (st. 20)
I also found the following little bit about violets and couldn't resist adding a few fairies.
The Little pansy - The violet is sacred to all fairies. Gathering violets in the spring will bring good luck and a wish come true courtesy of the faerie realm.

Here is a layout I did of my great nephew Blake, outside playing in the leaves when they came up to my house this year. I used
Doxie Designs Blooming Delight, with its beautiful purples and greens it really brought my pictures to life.
